Flavor Flav is the King of VH1 Reality TV

VH1 was suffering and stumbled into Reality TV broadcasting through their parent company MTV. They produced a show, The Surreal Life, and invited an aging Rap icon, Flavor Flav, and a B-movie Siren, Brigette Nelson to join the cast. Little did know or ever expect that “ROMANTICAL” flames were going to arise between these two unlikely lovers. Flavor Flav’s flirtations with Nielsen was so mesmerizing that they were given their own show, the Surreal Life 2. After Nielsen leaving Flav teary-eyed and alone, Flavor of Love was hatched in the minds of the producers. And, the genesis of the Flavor of Love Reality TV shows were created, but better yet, it was Flavor Flav that saved a boring and floundering network.

If you like Flav or not, he has changed the landscape of Reality TV in the world. He gets love from Europe, South America, the Tropics, China and down under in Australia. Can Flav be a little ridiculous and outrageous, and kills millions of your brain cells by watching the Flavor of Love shows? Yes. But, he is just an entertainer.

gives us a glimpse of Flav’s Reality Show Family Tree:Flavor of Love's Familty Tree

Flav has given to us New York, Deelishis, Hoopz, Myammee, Black, Bootz, Buckeey, Pumpkin, Seezinz, Nibblz and more and more that I care not to mention. New York has her own following. Hoopz wins every Reality TV show she enters. Deelishis has “massive” appeal with her magazine layouts. So does Black, Bootz and Buckeey. Seezinz is “implanting” her way to commericial recognition on the east coast.

Whether we realize it or not, Flav is good for the entertainment business. VH1 realized it and capitalized on his “star” quality. Unfortunately, will Flav be able to capitalize on it as well. He does have 8 mouths to feed. Right!

Hoopz Slam Dunks Whiteboy in Finale

Hoopz Wins I Love Money

Hoopz (as announced on Flavaflav.net last week) won the $250,000 prize as the winner of “I Love Money.” From the first episode, Hoopz and Whiteboy were standouts as two of the stronger competitors on the show. But in the end, it was Hoopz that came out on top; she has the distinction of being the first winner of “Flavor of Love” and “I Love Money” Reality TV shows. However, this time, she got paid.

Congrats Hoopz! Word to the wise, get an accountant (that you can trust). I know this is better than the video and photo shoot money you get on the side.

Flav going to court as a “Deadbeat Dad”

Flavor Flav made a reported $5 million from his 3 seasons on VH1. That’s enough money for him to upgrade his wardrobe, buy new jewelry and have a new house built for his fiance and child.

But apparently that’s not enough to have him live up to his child support obligations, according to one of his baby’s mothers. According MediaTakeOut.com , Flav is set to go to family court in Albany, NY next week. The source told MediaTakeOut.com:

Flavor Flav is to appear in family court in Albany,NY,for failure to pay child support. This is the same person who claims that he takes care of his kids.(NOT).

Oh and get this he recently just had a house built in Las Vegas

Myammee on Judge Karen

Myammee on Judge Karen

Myammee on Judge Karen

Myammee, also known as Angela Pitts in real life, was considered a visible stand-out in a pool of girls craving for Flavor Flav’s attention on the third season of Flavor of Love. But now that the MTV reality dating series has come to a close, Myammee is upping her exposure by adding some flavor to a nationally syndicated court show called Judge Karen.

“Myammee’s dynamic personality combined with Judge Karen’s electric presence makes for an explosively entertaining episode of Judge Karen,” executive producer Rich Goldman said. “Reality TV fans will definitely want to tune in to see Myammee’s in-your-face attitude come head-to-head with Judge Karen’s no-nonsense style.”

As with shows like The People’s Court and Judge Judy, Judge Karen, which is produced by Sony Pictures Television, features a real-life judge in the form of African-American twice elected Miami-Dade County Court judge Karen Mills-Francis who presides over small claims court cases. To make a distinction from other shows in the crowded field, Judge Karen permits litigants to cross-examine witnesses, and there is a segment at the end in which she answers videotaped questions from viewers.
